Alexis Rault was born in 1981 in Nantes and studied classical music at the Conservatory of Rennes. After completing graduate studies in marketing in France and Spain, he begins a career as a performer and lines up a hundred concerts, mainly as a first part for Renan Luce or Michel Delpech. In 2008, Dominique Besnehard summons him to compose a score for the feature "L’amour dans le sang". Then Alexis centers himself on movie scores his sensitive and intimate style in perfect harmony with onscreen images. He worked on fifteen features, among which "Les souvenirs" by Jean-Paul Rouve, "Il a déjà tes yeux" by Lucien Jean-Baptiste or "Fiston" by Pascal Bourdieu. In 2016 he writes the score for "Quand on a 17 ans" by André Téchiné, nominated in the official competition for the Golden bear at the 66th International Festival of Berlin. In 2017 he is the composer for "Nos années folles", André Téchiné’s latest film, shown as Official selection at the Cannes Festival.
