Nathalie Teirlinck (°Brussels, 1985) graduated summa cum laude from the Belgian film school KASK in 2007 and obtained a Master in Culture & Film Studies at the Brussels University in 2008. Her three short films, "Anémone" (2006), "Juliette" (2007) and "Venus vs Me" (2010), were acclaimed at several national and international film festivals. While "Anémone" and "Juliette" were awarded Best Student Film at the Ghent International Film Festival, "Anémone" was nominated for the Locarno Film Festival and "Venus vs. Me" was awarded an European Film Academy Award at the prestigious Berlin film festival. Nathalie Teirlinck’s first feature film “Le Passé Devant Nous” was theatrically released in 2017 and produced by Savage Film. While the script already won the Eurimages Cinemart Prize at the Rotterdam Film Festival, the film nationally received two Ensor Academy Awards and several international awards.
Nathalie Teirlinck also directed music videos for famous Belgian bands such as Novastar, Amenra and Admiral Freebee. Since 2012 Nathalie Teirlinck writes and directs pieces for theatre as well. "Send all your horses", "Yesterday (or how we felt about the rumour)", "Staring Girl" and “Slumberland”, all have been touring around the world receiving prestigious awards such as the Music Theatre Now award in New York. At the moment, Nathalie Teirlinck is also coaching at the Belgian film school KASK, school of arts Ghent.
