Every year, we welcome new European Festivals to present the film productions of their country and/or their favorites shorts and features!

All these festivals have in common the desire to propose various manners to perceive the world, the urgent need for seeking meaning and creating. As the FIFA, they also make every effort to help the young creation, and so, tempt to find other ways to express oneself.

In 2018, we have the pleasure to welcome:

  • Short Waves Festival (Poznan, Poland) - 10th edition : March 20-25 2018
    Short Waves Festival, organized by The Foundation of Cultural Education Ad Arte, is a multi-location initiative focusing on the promotion of Polish film creation. From Brazil to Taiwan, audience from around the world will have the opportunity to watch a cutting-edge selection of innovative and surprising short movies from Polish scene. The project is cofunded by the Polish Film Institute.
    The selection includes 5 films by young polish directors. Arthouse intertwines with genre cinema and even though serious social themes are touched upon by the program, it leaves room for comedy and experimentation. No two movies are alike however they share three characteristics: they are short, good and Polish.

  • FEST - New Directors / New Films Festival (Espinho, Portugal) - 14th edition : June 18-25 2018
    FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival focuses, above all, on the discovery of up-and-coming artists, with feature and short film competitions, as well as several side non-competitive sections, which gathers some of the brightest new talents in the world’s scene. Throughout the years FEST has become a reference in the promotion of new directors on a global scale. The Festival is a multi-disciplinary event that includes several autonomous sections, including a Film Festival, one of Europe’s largest film forums (Training ground) and a financing and support activity (Pitching Forum).
    Alongside these three sections, the event also includes open air screenings on the beach, a festival village which hosts a series of public events, and, of course, there is no shortage of beach parties to put a final stop to each day.

  • Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (Montreal, Québec) - 47th edition : October 2018
    Since its launch in 1971, FNC has been dedicated to the broadcasting and development of emerging practices in the field of cinema and new technologies. It is a springboard to promote original works, encouraging the spread of auteur cinema and digital creation.
    During 11 days, more than 350 movies (short and feature films) directed by canadian and international filmmakers, free virtual reality installations, immersive performances, interactive experiences, original cinema screening with live music, cocktails, and networking activities are offered to public of all ages.

  • International Sound and Film Music Festival (Istria, Croatia)
    The mission of International Sound & Film Music Festival is the promotion and preservation of film music and sound as an irreplaceable element of film. Our goal is to rise awareness among the audience and filmmakers of the importance of original music and sound in film. Festival’s programme includes concerts of film music, panels and seminars, workshops, film market and parties.

Each Festival will suggest us a program of shorts films or a feature film
